Change Management

WHY CHOOSE THIS BBS PROGRAM

For you:

  • gain practical tools to lead complex change processes and manage resistance
  • strengthen your leadership, organizational insight, and ability to drive sustainable transformation

For your company:

  • implement change plans with measurable impact on processes, culture, and performance
  • reduce the costs of poorly managed transformations and increase organizational adaptability

Change Management is a discipline that combines methodology, culture, and behavior to guide individuals, teams, and organizations through transformation processes.

In an increasingly volatile and uncertain environment, the program develops managers and professionals who are able to recognize the signals of change, create the conditions for its effective implementation, and manage it over time.

Through practical tools, real-world cases, behavioral science, performance management, and applied artificial intelligence, the program is designed for Project Managers, Program Managers, and business managers involved in organizational and strategic change initiatives.

The course is structured into 5 in-person modules, delivered in a weekend format (Friday and Saturday), plus 2 online in-depth sessions for further study.

Structure

Online warm-up activities are planned from December 2026

The course consists of 5 in person modules over the weekend (Fridays and Saturdays) from 9:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.

In addition, 2 online in-depth sessions will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The program includes face-to-face lectures and a final workshop in which participants will put the approaches learned into practice.

COURSES

This module will outline the key aspects of change and introduce the main approaches to change management, from changes to business models and organisational structures to economic and social drivers. We will explore models for assessing workplace culture and learn how to evaluate an organisation’s readiness for change, known as Change Readiness. We will also examine the different orders of change and its reversibility, the relationship between change and rules, and the connection between organisational purpose and people’s behaviour.
We will also see how artificial intelligence can facilitate the application and interpretation of the models presented, provided that prompts for tools such as Claude, Gemini and NotebookLM are well formulated. In today’s economic context, digitalisation is particularly relevant, requiring businesses and organisations to make sometimes radical changes to both their business models and people’s behaviour. For this reason, the module will draw on significant historical examples from society and the economy, alongside examples of the introduction of new technologies and the digitalisation of processes.

Costa Luca

This module will explore in detail the main methods for building and motivating a team. It will introduce the principles of creating and managing a team, understood as a group that shares a specific approach to pursuing its goals. This aspect is becoming increasingly important, particularly in temporary settings such as project management or in highly complex environments. Team motivation is crucial to the ultimate success of organisational initiatives. The module will present the main theories of motivation alongside real-life case studies from sport and business.

Franco Bertoli

This module explores change management from a people-centred perspective, examining the neuroscientific foundations of human behaviour and the key factors that generate resistance to change. Participants will gain an understanding of the biological mechanisms that influence learning, as well as principles and practical tools for effectively guiding organisational transformation. The day will combine theoretical sessions with case study analysis, encouraging discussion and the practical application of the concepts covered.

Giulia Baroni

This module examines the balance between human and economic needs as a critical factor in Change Management. It begins with the context of the “great detachment”—disengagement, burnout and declining productivity—to show how change depends on the energy people have available. It then introduces an approach that integrates culture, behaviours and processes, alongside “polytropic” leadership that enables organisations to navigate complexity. The module also explores Energy Management—physical, emotional, mental and spiritual energy—and the organisational energy footprint. It distinguishes between problems that can be solved and polarities that must be managed through the “both/and” approach of Polarity Management. It concludes with a workshop on the PRO™ Method, which redesigns processes around six drivers to generate economic value without depleting human value.

Saverio Cuoghi
Veruscka Gennari

Following a brief recap, participants will work on a business case requiring them to manage a specific initiative and the organisational changes it entails. They will consider the activities needed for its introduction and launch and develop an implementation plan. Participants will work in groups of three or four.

Change Management (ed. 2024)

"Change is a little like experiencing both fear and an adrenaline rush. Managing change means embracing resistance and finding the motivation to believe it can be overcome. This course, led by Luca Costa, gave me a fresh perspective, powerful tools and meaningful discussions with the group. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to take a hands-on (and heartfelt) approach to helping businesses, organisations and teams grow and evolve with courage."

Alessandro Durini

Sales Manager, Mapei
Change Management (ed. 2025)

"I have taken many courses throughout my professional career, but this one has stayed with me in a special way, thanks to the quality of the people I met, the way it was delivered and the emotions it evoked. The experience went well beyond training: it sparked discussion, sharing and genuine connections. In fact, the journey did not end with the final day in the classroom: we continue to meet every six months to build on what we started, keeping the bonds formed during the course alive. I believe this is the programme’s greatest value: the training ends, but its legacy—in our relationships and in the way we approach change—endures."

Networking

Networking takes place between students of the same class, between participants and lecturers, as well as with students from other courses or previous editions of the same program.
