The Master in Gestione d’Impresa – Media, Publishing and Content Management
aims to integrate business management skills with the media, publishing, and content management sectors, preparing professionals to operate in an international context characterized by rapid technological evolution and changing consumption patterns.
The program provides a solid managerial education applied to the content industry, with a special focus on digitalization, innovative business models, sustainability, and the valorization of intellectual property. Thanks to a network of leading companies, publishers, digital platforms, and creative organizations, the Master prepares students to face the challenges of a sector undergoing continuous global transformation.
Full-time, 12 months, in Italian language, this Master is structured as a hands-on training path designed to develop transversal skills, combining creative and cultural sensitivity with solid managerial capabilities, and to deeply understand the needs of companies and organizations operating in the media and content world. The Career Service supports students in building their professional path, alongside meetings with BBS alumni, professors, and industry leaders connected to the School.
Young graduates in humanities, economics, communication, or digital disciplines who wish to enhance their cultural and creative background through the acquisition of managerial skills, in order to enter the media, publishing, and content management sectors in a qualified way.

The Master in Gestione d’Impresa – Media, Publishing and Content Management is a full-time program structured in 1,500 hours of learning activities over 12 months of study, divided into: 360 hours of lecturing, an estimated 540 hours of independent study, and 600 hours of internship.
The structure of the Master is divided into :
The first term, the same for all the concentrations of the Master in Gestione d’Impresa, provides a 360° view of how a company works, delving into the processes, peculiarities and relations between internal and external stakeholders of all company departments.
The second term, specific to each concentration, provides knowledge and skills related to the world of Media, Publishing and Content Management through a multidisciplinary and practical approach. It includes 3 specific courses and 3 company project work, in close contact with local companies.
Following the lecture and project period, students start an internship, which may take place in companies or agencies in Italy or abroad. At the end of the internship, the student will submit a ‘Final Report’ to the Director of Studies, containing a description of the activities carried out and an analysis of the knowledge acquired during the classroom training period.
The Master is held on campus at Bologna Business School. Participation is about 30 hours per week structured in order to allow time to work in groups, while not neglecting individual students focus and management of interpersonal relationships.

This course focuses on the main components of accounting, budgeting and cost analysis. In addition the course will train students on how to analyze economic-financial forecasts and budgets as well as understand the measurement and interpretation of the economic-financial performance of the company. Calculation and analysis in decision-making, management supervision, strategic control and strategic cost management will also be explored.
Ferri PaoloThe objective of the course in Digital Marketing is to provide the necessary knowledge for successfully implementing a marketing strategy utilizing new information technology, analyzing the needs of the client, the company communication and sales. A principally quantitative approach for measuring the effectiveness of Digital Marketing activities, which finds their natural application in an online context (e.g. Social Media, E-Commerce, Direct Marketing), without overlooking the application of new technologies in an offline context (e.g. Apps and Mobile Marketing in a modern Retailing environment). At the end of the course, it is expected that the students will have acquired a high level of knowledge on the main tools used in the field of Digital Marketing, allowing them to: define and implement a coherent Digital Marketing strategy; select the best suited tools based on strategic objectives; monitor the effectiveness by means of rigorous analytical procedures.

Corporate governance, venture capital and the main issues inherent to the listing of companies on the stock exchange. The functions of the principle derived tools and their use when covering financial risks of the company.
Baschieri GiuliaCorporate sustainability and the circular economy are currently among the most discussed topics internationally, also due to climate change. The aim of the course is to understand why these issues are of such importance, underlining their urgency. We will learn more about the innovation activities of operational and system processes that companies adopt to implement strategies aimed at the Circulary Economy and the transition to a low carbon business model.

The course explores how media and publishing companies operate, with particular attention to organizational structures, production processes, and the main business models in the sector. By analyzing the economic and technological transformations of contemporary media, the course provides a foundational understanding of sustainability, innovation, and strategic management in media and communication organizations.
The course focuses on the processes of ideation, development, and design of editorial and media content, examining languages, formats, and narrative strategies in relation to different contexts and distribution platforms. It provides theoretical and practical tools to understand how content is created, how editorial projects are structured, and how cultural and communicative value is generated through texts, images, and audiovisual products.
This course structure consists of select lectures and three company projects.
LECTURES: Offer a critical perspective on the relationship between media, society, and culture, exploring how films, series, platforms, and visual content influence identities, representations, and social dynamics in the contemporary world.
COMPANY PROJECTS: The course also includes 3 business projects of 1 month each. The projects are carried out by working in groups of 4-5 participants and begin with the presentation of the company by a manager of a company who is a partner in the School’s network. The manager details to the group the scope of the project. During each project work, participants are assisted by a tutor; at the end of the month there is a meeting with the management and a presentation of the deliverables created by the participants. Teachers and management both provide an assessment, in order to review both the originality of the managerial solutions proposed as well as the practical feasibility and implementation potential in a real business context.
Il corso sviluppa le tematiche inerenti la gestione dei materiali lungo la filiera, dai fornitori ai canali distributivi. A questo proposito hanno un ruolo essenziale le decisioni gestionali e organizzative inerenti i rapporti con le imprese esterne con cui ci si relaziona che costituiscono l’argomento focale del corso. Nell’analizzare le relazioni verticali tra le imprese si cercherà di sviluppare: la sensibilità verso l’mportanza strategica delle relazioni; le conoscenze tecniche e gestionali necessarie per affrontare le decisioni in materia; le competenze organizzative necessarie per gestirle.
The Master’s program is designed to provide a solid theoretical basis, immediately complemented by practical applications, to prepare students to confidently and competently enter the job market. The teaching activities are designed to be practical and experiential, promoting effective learning and comprehensive assessment by the instructors.

The internship is an exceptional springboard, suffice it to say that six months after the end of the full-time masters at Bologna Business School on average 90% of students work in a company.
