MBA Football Cup 2026: BBS Oranges shine in Milan

10 June 2026

Sport, teamwork and community: once again, the BBS Oranges proudly represented Bologna Business School at the MBA Football Cup, the tournament that brings together MBA students, Alumni and participants from Italy’s leading Business Schools.

The 2026 edition, hosted by SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan, brought together some of the most important institutions in Italian management education for an event that successfully combined sporting competition, networking and a strong sense of belonging.

A standout performance

The BBS Oranges approached the group stage with determination, completing Saturday with an outstanding record: four matches played and no defeats. A result that reflects the team’s growth and the strength of a group built over time, capable of combining experience, enthusiasm and a strong collaborative spirit.

The journey came to an end on Sunday in the quarter-finals against SDA Bocconi School of Management after a closely contested match. Despite the elimination, the BBS Oranges made their mark on the tournament through high-level performances and impressive statistics that highlighted their role among the competition’s leading teams.

The tournament’s most prolific attack

Among the most notable achievements of the 2026 edition was the recognition awarded to Antonio Rispoli, striker for the BBS Oranges, who finished as the tournament’s top scorer.

This individual accolade was part of an even broader collective achievement: Bologna Business School concluded the competition with the highest-scoring attack of the entire tournament, demonstrating quality of play, strong organization and an ability to maximize the contribution of every member of the team.

The tournament title was won by CUOA Business School, which returned to victory after approximately twenty years.

A community that grows beyond the pitch

The MBA Football Cup is much more than a sporting event. It is an opportunity to strengthen relationships, create new connections and foster the sense of community that defines the Bologna Business School experience.

Through the universal language of sport, students and Alumni share values such as collaboration, respect, determination and the ability to work towards a common goal. These are the same values that support the personal and professional development journey promoted by Bologna Business School.

Once again, the BBS Oranges brought to the field the energy and identity of a community made up of people with different backgrounds, experiences and ambitions, united by the desire to build lasting relationships both within and beyond the academic environment.

Dario Ciampoli, Head Coach of the BBS Oranges

“The MBA Football Cup continues to be a special opportunity to experience the values that sport and management share: a strong sense of belonging to BBS, teamwork, leadership, adaptability and goal orientation.

I am particularly proud of the journey of the BBS Oranges in this edition. Finishing the group stage unbeaten and ending the tournament with the best attack in the competition reflects the hard work, commitment and cohesion that this group has built over time. The team’s growth compared with previous editions is evident not only in the results, but also in the quality of football played and in the identity we have developed.

Antonio Rispoli’s recognition as top scorer is a well-deserved achievement that highlights not only his individual performance but also the contribution of the entire team. When individual awards of this kind are achieved, it means the collective has performed at its best.

Beyond the sporting aspect, what makes this experience special is the opportunity to strengthen the connection between Alumni, students and MBA participants, creating authentic relationships in a context of exchange and shared experiences. Events like this demonstrate how the Bologna Business School community continues to grow beyond the classroom through experiences that encourage collaboration, networking and a sense of belonging.

I would like to thank Bologna Business School, BBS Alumni Association and the organizers of the tournament for making it possible once again to deliver an event of great value for all the Business Schools involved. We return from Milan with satisfaction, new relationships and even greater motivation for the next edition.

Go Orange Go!”

The countdown to the next edition has already begun, with the same passion, the same team spirit and the commitment to continue representing the BBS community both on and off the pitch.
