Dr. Luca Cerati is responsible for defining and implementing the Group’s research and development strategies. With solid experience in managing complex projects in industrial real-time measurement systems, vision systems, and track & trace systems, he leads the integration of emerging technologies—including artificial intelligence, automation, and digital solutions—to accelerate the transformation of industrial processes and generate sustainable value, with particular focus on applications for the Group’s companies’ products.
He is part of the governance organization responsible for AI adoption within the Group, where he ensures transparency, ethics, and data security. With extensive international experience in projects involving machines and production lines, he combines technical expertise with strategic oversight. Graduated in Electronic Engineering – Telecommunications in 1990, he served as an Officer in the Italian Army Signal Corps before joining G.D in 1992, and has been part of the Coesia Engineering Center since 2012, continuously pursuing learning and innovation.
