On Saturday, May 14,<\/span> the first international meeting of the BBS Alumni Association<\/b> was held in collaboration with <\/span>ESSEC Alumni<\/b>, the corresponding Alumni Association of the <\/span>ESSEC Business School in Paris<\/b>. It was a meeting under the banner of <\/span>sharing<\/b> and <\/span>exchanging ideas<\/b> that offered new insights to our alumni for future projects.<\/span><\/p>\n How important is the Alumni world for the development of international business schools?<\/b><\/p>\n Around this question developed the meeting between the two associations, which probed the mechanisms and opportunities for growth related to the <\/span>relationships<\/b> gained during their educational experience. The Alumni world is made up of <\/span>professionals<\/b> who, once they have completed their training pre-course, want to keep alive the connection with their home business school through <\/span>networking<\/b> events, career orientation, mentoring, follow-ups regarding their field of expertise and the conception of projects involving their community.<\/span><\/p>\n For these reasons, <\/span>alumni associations are of great value to business schools,<\/b> consistently contributing to the growth and maintenance of student and participant communities. <\/span>A proactive way of acting<\/b> that is attentive to the initiatives coming from all the alumni involved. This is done through a voluntary activity that signals a strong attachment to one’s school and the intention to contribute to the broadening of its horizons beyond the single aspect of education.<\/span><\/p>\n The discussion between BBS and ESSEC alumni was thus enlightening in this regard. <\/span>ESSEC Alumni boasts a 100-year history<\/b> and the guests offered the young BBS Alumni Association <\/span>renewed stimuli for the futur<\/b>e, both at the organisational level and practical level. Exchanges of ideas, projects and questions made the meeting particularly <\/span>interactive<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n Elisabetta Veggetti, Group Purchasing Director, Coesia and Alumna BBS<\/b>, and A<\/span>nne- Sophie Chouillou, Fund Manager and Partner, Anthilia Capital Partners Sgr and ESSEC Alumna<\/b> were the two special guests who contributed to the success of the event by recounting their experiences in industry and the investment sector.
