{"id":64171,"date":"2021-04-01T12:05:10","date_gmt":"2021-04-01T10:05:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bbs.unibo.it\/?p=64171"},"modified":"2021-07-12T14:33:51","modified_gmt":"2021-07-12T12:33:51","slug":"marco-margiotta-executive-mba","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bbs.unibo.it\/en\/marco-margiotta-executive-mba\/","title":{"rendered":"Marco Margiotta, Executive MBA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marco Margiotta, Executive MBA at BBS, and Sales Manager for Ser.com, tells us why it\u2019s worthwhile not just to invest in one\u2019s training with a Master\u2019s, but also to keep on being part of the Community within which the Master\u2019s experience took place.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My working life developed exploring all the possible facets of the <\/span><b>sales sector <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for companies and organizations that offer both advanced services as <\/span><b>Big Data, AI and robotics<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><b>marketing<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> solutions and concrete <\/span><b>products<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. As a matter of fact, I\u2019ve been a so-called \u201cnormal\u201d seller, then a top client seller, I managed and trained not only resources who dealt directly with sales, but also managers who managed sales resources. I dealt with the development of solutions to sell products and services and I built or innovated sales networks. Finally, I went from being an Account to being a Regional Manager and then Sales Trainer Manager and Managing Sales Partner. Today I\u2019m <\/span><b>Sales and Marketing Manager at Ser.com.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today I can say that what I share with the <\/span><b>BBS world and its Community<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is undoubtedly the <\/span><b>will to improve,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to <\/span><b>invest in myself <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and to <\/span><b>put myself to the test constantly<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. These are values shared by all those whom I met along my path at the Bologna Business School and, in particular, those who participate in the <\/span><b>BBS Community<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. And this is an aspect that helps us to collaborate and be on the same wavelength. In the Community there aren\u2019t only friends, but <\/span><b>individuals who share a way of living their work, their experiences, and relationships<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is why <\/span><b>my advice to everyone is to join it <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to give your contribution and listen to what the others have to say, and also to become the embodiment of an <\/span><b>added value to be shared<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. It\u2019s not a situation of convenience but <\/span><b>a system that helps <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">weaving together knowledge and ability among people who shared, at the same time or at different times, a very important educational path. My relationship with my BBS fellows is becoming increasingly stronger, there\u2019s a situation of very intense <\/span><b>mutual help and support <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">regardless of roles and possibilities.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019m currently actively carrying out the training activity<\/span><b> for Sales people <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">making available all my skills and knowledge in a field where I can provide my contribution. At the same time, I\u2019m getting in touch with competent figures in sectors in which I\u2019m less experienced, to increase my knowledge and abilities through the <\/span><b>exchange of ideas<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019d like to conclude mentioning <\/span><b>the 3 reasons why the experience at BBS has been an opportunity of profound enhancement <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and the reason why the Community is and will remain an important part of my working life, and not just limited to it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first reason is <\/span><b>People<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The BBS group, made up of students, faculty and staff was a pleasant surprise: I\u2019d never have imagined that I\u2019d be positively overwhelmed by everyone\u2019s <\/span><b>quality and availability<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This sense has been growing since when I started meeting and spending time also with former participants outside the standard educational activities, <\/span><b>the Community is strong and organized<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and it will become even more consolidated over time\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second reason is the impact on my <\/span><b>Behavior<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. BBS helped me to react proactively and not simply to endure the change we\u2019re all experiencing, I think there has never been a better moment to attend an EMBA like this year and the next. It\u2019s got to do with reconstructing the Vision, defining scenarios and re-planning Actions with the help and support of brilliant minds, with the opportunity of receiving knowledge from every part of the world, I think it\u2019s unique <\/span><\/li>\n<li>The third reason is the <b>Method<\/b>. The school and the work team helped me understand that <b>innovation<\/b> doesn\u2019t simply rely on idea that solves the issue or in creating a startup from scratch, but also in the ability to <b>re-engineer a mature industry <\/b>making it profitable again or in <b>bringing value<\/b> in a poor sector in order to raise profits and revenues, and all of this through method, analysis, vision,
