With Massimiliano Marzo,<\/strong> Massimiliano Marzo<\/strong>, Associate Professor of Political Economics at the University of Bologna and Scientific Director of the Master in Wealth Management \u2013 \u200b\u200bHeritage Management<\/strong><\/a>, we have tried to understandwhat the margins of action of the consultants will be in this new scenario, between risks and new opportunities.<\/p>\n

“The situation in the financial markets is characterized by extremely high volatility. In the acute phase of the crisis, on a global level, the market capitalization plummeted by 20 trillion dollars. This created a situation of great and justified panic in all investors.<\/p>\n

The wealth manager in this phase has a fundamental role,which is to support customers with elements of rationality in a very difficult phase. He acts like a doctor: supporting patients who are understandably anxious about their health, using the rational tools of knowledge and analysis.<\/p>\n

In the current phase, there are certain investment instruments that are potentially very interesting to mitigate the losses suffered. But it is also true that a customer who has had significant losses may not be attracted by the investment: above all because the current phase may require an attitude of great prudence in the future.<\/p>\n

The role of a wealth manager in this phase is to try to bring the anxiety generated by the fluctuations of the financial markets back to a rational state and try to identify new opportunities for the future.<\/p>\n

Today the search for an important return combined with good liquidity represents an important effort for the consultant who must look for the right product for the customer. The password is always the same: rationality”.<\/p>\n
