{"id":155915,"date":"2026-07-22T12:15:36","date_gmt":"2026-07-22T10:15:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bbs.unibo.it\/?p=155915"},"modified":"2026-07-22T14:19:00","modified_gmt":"2026-07-22T12:19:00","slug":"beyond-the-classroom-15-bologna-business-school-students-at-the-wfi-summer-school-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bbs.unibo.it\/en\/beyond-the-classroom-15-bologna-business-school-students-at-the-wfi-summer-school-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Beyond the classroom: 15 Bologna Business School students at the WFI Summer School 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An international classroom, new perspectives and a week dedicated to exploring <\/span><b>Responsible Innovation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is what <\/span><b>15 students from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbs.unibo.it\/en\/master-fulltime\/digital-marketing-and-communication\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Master in Digital Marketing and Communication <\/a><\/b>and<b> the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbs.unibo.it\/en\/professional-master-in-marketing-management\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Master in Marketing Management<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at Bologna Business School experienced during the <\/span><b>WFI Summer School 2026 \u2013 Innovation meets Responsibility<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, held from <\/span><b>27 June to 4 July<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at the <\/span><b>Catholic University of Eichst\u00e4tt-Ingolstadt (KU)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as part of the <\/span><b>Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selected on the basis of their motivation and academic performance in subjects related to the Summer School, the students joined peers from <\/span><b>Germany, Greece, India and Lithuania<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for an immersive experience combining academic learning, international collaboration and intercultural exchange.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The central theme of the Summer School was <\/span><b>Responsible Innovation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, explored through lectures, workshops, group challenges, business cases and field activities. Throughout the week, participants examined the relationship between technological innovation, sustainability and organizational responsibility while working in international teams and engaging with Faculty from different countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme also included a visit to <\/span><b>KPMG<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Munich, offering participants the opportunity to see how the principles of responsible innovation are translated into business strategies and practices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Bologna Business School, the initiative was coordinated by <\/span><b>Shashi Matta<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, who teaches <\/span><b>Marketing Strategy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the Master in Digital Marketing and Communication and the Master in Marketing Management, reaffirming the School&#8217;s commitment to providing learning experiences that complement academic excellence with exposure to international and multicultural environments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experiences such as the <\/span><b>WFI Summer School<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> offer valuable opportunities for both personal and professional growth. Working alongside students from different cultural and educational backgrounds helps participants broaden their perspectives, strengthen transversal skills and build an international network that extends well beyond the programme itself.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An experience that reflects Bologna Business School&#8217;s international dimension and its commitment to
