Francesca Camerota<\/b>, a professional working in the <\/span>public administration services<\/b> sector, chose to attend the <\/span>Executive Master in Sustainability Management<\/b><\/a> to develop an integrated understanding of the <\/span>environmental, social, and governance<\/b> challenges organizations face today. A program that enabled her to turn <\/span>sustainability<\/b> into a <\/span>strategic lever<\/b>, capable of generating <\/span>real value<\/b> along the entire <\/span>value chain<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What was the moment when you realized the transformative potential of sustainability in your professional environment?<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/i> I decided to pursue the <\/span>Executive Master in Sustainability Transition Management<\/b> at Bologna Business School to gain a <\/span>comprehensive understanding<\/b> of the <\/span>sustainability issues<\/b> that companies must address. <\/span>Environmental, social, and governance (ESG)<\/b> topics vary in importance depending on the type of organization and the sector in which it operates. Working in a <\/span>service company for public administration<\/b>, which already has a strong <\/span>social vocation<\/b>, allowed me to understand how adopting <\/span>sustainable strategies<\/b> and <\/span>guidance plans<\/b> can truly generate value, leading the organization toward an <\/span>innovative approach<\/b> that involves the entire <\/span>value chain<\/b>. Sustainability strategies help create <\/span>positive impacts<\/b> and reduce <\/span>negative impacts<\/b> not only within the organization, but also in the development of <\/span>new services<\/b> and in managing relationships with <\/span>external stakeholders<\/b>, whether public administrations or beneficiaries of intervention measures.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Which skill, among those acquired during the master, has proven most useful in your daily professional life?<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/i> The Master gave me the opportunity to explore a broad range of topics, from <\/span>sustainable finance<\/b> to the development of <\/span>social innovation strategies<\/b>, all the way to <\/span>leadership models<\/b> and <\/span>change management<\/b>. I found the approach to these subjects particularly meaningful, especially the <\/span>critical analysis<\/b> that emphasized the <\/span>ethical aspects<\/b> and the consequences of decisions\u2014both individual and collective\u2014that may be adopted by communities or institutions.<\/span>
\n<\/span> One of the elements I appreciated most was the course dedicated to <\/span>applied ethics<\/b> within sustainability topics. This module allowed me to deepen and strengthen my ability to uphold <\/span>ESG principles<\/b> when discussing with stakeholders who may be less convinced or supportive. It provided me with the tools needed to promote <\/span>sustainable practices<\/b> that create <\/span>value<\/b>, in a compelling and effective way.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

How do you interpret your role as a leader of the sustainability transition today?<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/i> Within my organization, I work on sustainability topics in the <\/span>Strategy and Sustainability Office<\/b>. I therefore have the opportunity to define\u2014together with the various organizational units\u2014<\/span>strategic plans<\/b> and <\/span>initiatives<\/b> aimed at adopting an <\/span>innovative sustainability strategy<\/b>. Continuous <\/span>dialogue<\/b> and engagement with different categories of <\/span>stakeholders<\/b>, both internal and external, are essential to developing effective initiatives and promoting a <\/span>culture of sustainability<\/b>. <\/span>Awareness-raising<\/b> and <\/span>training<\/b> are key elements for engaging all members of the organization and making them conscious of the challenges and opportunities linked to sustainability.<\/span>
\n<\/span> Similarly, when defining the sustainability strategy, I consider not only <\/span>social, environmental, and governance impacts<\/b>, but also the <\/span>economic and financial implications<\/b> tied to <\/span>ESG risks and opportunities<\/b>. A well-structured sustainability strategy can generate <\/span>significant value<\/b> for the organization, creating <\/span>positive effects<\/b> throughout the entire <\/span>value chain<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
