For the first time, <\/span>Bologna<\/b> hosted the <\/span>MBA Football Cup<\/b>, the amateur 11-a-side football tournament involving MBA student and Alumni teams from leading <\/span>Italian business schools<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

A weekend that combined <\/span>sports competition<\/b>, <\/span>networking<\/b> and a strong sense of <\/span>community<\/b>, reinforcing a shared identity and fostering collaboration among Schools.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>2025 edition<\/b>, organized by <\/span>BBS Alumni Association<\/b>, took place on <\/span>Saturday 7<\/b> and <\/span>Sunday 8 June<\/b> at the <\/span>Biavati Sports Complex<\/b>, and welcomed teams from <\/span>CUOA Business School<\/b>, <\/span>IPE Business School<\/b>, <\/span>LUISS Business School<\/b>, <\/span>MIB Trieste School of Management<\/b>, <\/span>SDA Bocconi School of Management<\/b>, <\/span>POLIMI Graduate School of Management<\/b> and <\/span>Bologna Business School<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Welcome Event: the kick-off at the New Campus<\/b><\/h3>\n


\n<\/b> The weekend officially started on <\/span>Friday 6 June<\/b> at the <\/span>New Campus<\/b> of <\/span>Bologna Business School<\/b> with a welcome event dedicated to the <\/span>BBS Oranges<\/b>, the School\u2019s official team. After a greeting from <\/span>Ilaria Manghi<\/b>, <\/span>Co-Managing Director<\/b> of <\/span>BBS<\/b>, and an opening speech by <\/span>Dario Ciampoli<\/b>, coach of BBS Oranges, the evening continued with moments of discussion and reflection focused on sportsmanship and leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Welcome Event concluded with an <\/span>aperitivo<\/b> and informal dinner in the Campus\u2019 bar and dining spaces, offering students and Alumni a relaxed setting for dialogue and connection.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On the pitch with passion and determination<\/b><\/h3>\n

On <\/span>Saturday 7 June<\/b>, the tournament came to life with a full schedule of matches: each team played four games during the day, each split into two 20-minute halves. On <\/span>Sunday morning<\/b>, the <\/span>finals<\/b> were held, determining the final <\/span>ranking<\/b> of the <\/span>2025 edition<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

    BBS Oranges: beyond the result, a community in action<\/b><\/h3>\n

    The <\/span>BBS Oranges<\/b> competed in the tournament with brand-new <\/span>uniforms<\/b>, official <\/span>tracksuits<\/b> and <\/span>branded caps<\/b>\u2014symbols of an identity that is expressed both on and off the pitch. From the stands, the <\/span>BBS Oranges Supporters<\/b> brought energy and encouragement, showing that support itself can be a meaningful expression of <\/span>community<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

    An event that multiplies opportunities<\/b>
    \n<\/b> The <\/span>MBA Football Cup 2025<\/b> was a valuable opportunity to strengthen the ties between those who have experienced or are currently living the educational journey at <\/span>Bologna Business School<\/b>. Through the universal language of <\/span>sport<\/b>, the event promoted values such as <\/span>respect<\/b>, <\/span>fairness<\/b>, <\/span>collaboration<\/b> and <\/span>determination<\/b>\u2014values that also guide the development of tomorrow\u2019s <\/span>business leaders<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Dario Ciampoli<\/b>, <\/span>Co-President<\/b> of <\/span>BBS Alumni Association<\/b>, commented:<\/span><\/p>\n

    “The Bologna event was a special networking opportunity where sport and management came together in an extraordinarily compelling combination.<\/span>
    \n<\/span> Bologna Business School<\/b> and its <\/span>Alumni Association<\/b> organized an exceptional event, involving 7 <\/span>Italian business schools<\/b>, 150 players and a total of 20 matches over two days. I feel truly honored and proud to have coordinated this important initiative.<\/span>
    \n<\/span> The <\/span>BBS Oranges<\/b>, with their third-place finish, proved to be one of the teams to beat, confirming the growth path started last year. A solid mix of experience and young talent, along with a great atmosphere in the locker room, created the right chemistry for an ambitious journey that ended only in the semifinal, facing the tournament\u2019s eventual winner.<\/span>
    \n<\/span> The <\/span>Best Goalkeeper Award<\/b> presented to <\/span>Lorenzo Sammarchi<\/b> and the commemorative plaque I received from the players were certainly among the most emotional moments of the entire weekend.<\/span>
    \n<\/span> With this motivation and drive, I look forward to the next challenge: the <\/span>MBA Football Cup 2026<\/b> in <\/span>Milan<\/b>. I sincerely thank <\/span>Bologna Business School<\/b> for making the dream continue… and as we say: <\/span>Go Orange Go!<\/b>“<\/span><\/p>\n
