Although closely related, each of these disciplines has its own focus, techniques, and applications.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Relationship between data science and artificial intelligence<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Data science<\/strong> and <strong>AI<\/strong> are <strong>two sides of the same coin<\/strong>, as both work with data but use different approaches and for distinct purposes. While<strong> data science<\/strong> primarily focuses on the analysis and interpretation of data, utilizing statistical, mathematical, and computational methods to identify patterns, extract meaningful information, and support informed decision-making, <strong>artificial intelligence<\/strong> focuses on <strong>creating systems and algorithms<\/strong> that <strong>can learn from data and act autonomously<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe two disciplines are consequential: while<strong> data science<\/strong> is concerned with <strong>extracting insights from data<\/strong>, <strong>AI<\/strong> is able to <strong>make decisions<\/strong> or take actions <strong>based on those insights<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Big data for AI<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The concept of <strong>big<\/strong> <strong>data<\/strong> is closely linked to <strong>AI<\/strong>, as AI requires large volumes of data to learn and improve. It serves as a passport to becoming a key player in the world of innovation, techniques, and technologies related to Big Data and data analysis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vertical Programs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbs.unibo.it\/en\/open-program\/artificial-intelligence-machine-learning-for-business-2\/\">Open Program Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI<\/a>, is a 5 days part-time, on-campus program in Italian designed to offer an in-depth and practical understanding of how generative AI can be integrated into business processes to enhance productivity and accelerate innovation.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbs.unibo.it\/en\/open-program\/big-data-analytics-4\/\">(Big) Data and Artificial Intelligence<\/a> open program, in <strong>Italian<\/strong>, <strong>part-time 4-day on-campus + 12 online sessions<\/strong>, was created to fill the knowledge gap that incorporates the <strong>most advanced technologies<\/strong>, <strong>operational models<\/strong> and i<strong>nnovative methodologies<\/strong> in the market.
