The <\/span>Master in Sustainability Transition Management<\/b><\/a> at Bologna Business School concluded its academic year with the presentation of the final project works. This concluding moment marked the <\/span>culmination<\/b> of a program that alternated <\/span>online teaching<\/b> with <\/span>hands-on field experiences<\/b>, offering participants a <\/span>practical and innovative approach<\/b> to sustainable transition.<\/span><\/p>\n

A curriculum enriched by On-Campus Weeks<\/b><\/h3>\n

The <\/span>On-Campus Weeks<\/b> were pivotal moments of the Master, allowing participants to immerse themselves in <\/span>practical experiences<\/b> that complemented their theoretical education with <\/span>company visits<\/b> and <\/span>experiential activities<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In <\/span>April 2024<\/b>, the first On-Campus Week brought together students from the two versions of the Master\u2014<\/span>Executive<\/b>, designed for professionals, and <\/span>Professional<\/b>, aimed at recent graduates. During this week, participants explored topics related to <\/span>urban and agricultural transitions<\/b>. Guided by Professors <\/span>Orla Lenihan<\/b> (University of Galway) and <\/span>Matteo Mura<\/b> (BBS), they visited the <\/span>Urban Innovation Lab<\/b> in Bologna and companies such as <\/span>Eta Beta<\/b> and <\/span>16Lab<\/b>, delving into cutting-edge contexts and experiencing <\/span>interactive, hands-on learning<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The second On-Campus Week, held in <\/span>October 2024<\/b>, was exclusively for Professional Master students. This session provided an in-depth look at <\/span>sustainable management<\/b> in business settings through <\/span>company visits<\/b> to organizations such as <\/span>Unipol<\/b>, <\/span>Schneider Electric<\/b>, and <\/span>Cartiera di Lama di Reno<\/b>. These encounters offered students the opportunity to gain deeper insights into the <\/span>challenges and opportunities<\/b> companies face in transitioning to more sustainable models.<\/span><\/p>\n

Project work: sustainability in practice<\/b><\/h3>\n

The final project work presentations allowed participants to demonstrate how the <\/span>knowledge acquired throughout the year<\/b> was applied to tackle <\/span>real-world problems<\/b>. Developed in collaboration with <\/span>partner companies<\/b>, these projects provided <\/span>innovative and tangible solutions<\/b> to operational challenges linked to sustainability.<\/span><\/p>\n

A program that makes a difference<\/b><\/h3>\n

In his concluding remarks during the presentation of the Master\u2019s Project Work, Director <\/span>Matteo Mura<\/b> emphasized the value of the proposed projects and the dedication of a class that gave its all throughout the program:<\/span>
\n<\/span>\u201cIt was truly a pleasure to have all of you in this class. Managing a group like yours was easy\u2014you are truly capable professionals. A master like this, lasting a year and delivered in a <\/span>hybrid format<\/b>, is a challenge for both you and us. However, your <\/span>positive attitude<\/b> and willingness to engage greatly helped us.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Master in Sustainability Transition Management<\/b> continues to stand out as an <\/span>excellent educational program<\/b> for those aiming to lead change in a world increasingly focused on sustainability.
