From <\/span>November 28 to 30, 2024<\/b>, Bologna Business School hosted the first Residential of the <\/span>Executive Master in Business Analytics and Data Science<\/b><\/a> III<\/b>. This pivotal educational experience within the Program brought together <\/span>students<\/b>, <\/span>faculty<\/b>, and <\/span>cutting-edge companies<\/b> to delve into the key topics of <\/span>data analysis<\/b> and <\/span>computational science<\/b>. The event took place in a particularly evocative setting, bridging the <\/span>historic Villa Guastavillani<\/b> and the <\/span>modern New Campus<\/b>, and offered a rich agenda filled with <\/span>content<\/b>, <\/span>practical activities<\/b>, and <\/span>networking opportunities<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/h3>\n

Opening day: connections and discoveries<\/b><\/h3>\n

The first day began with a warm welcome from <\/span>Elisa Montaguti<\/b>, the Master\u2019s Scientific Director, and <\/span>Gabriele Tazzari<\/b>, Executive Director. Participants then engaged in an <\/span>ice-breaking activity<\/b> led by <\/span>Marco Marchegiani<\/b>, CEO of 16Lab SRL, designed to foster interaction and create synergies within the group.<\/span>
\n<\/span>The day continued with a truly memorable <\/span>company visit<\/b>: <\/span>Capgemini<\/b>, a global leader in consulting and digital transformation, hosted the participants and provided insights into real-world applications of <\/span>analytical and data science skills<\/b>. From theory to practice in a context where <\/span>innovation<\/b> comes to life through <\/span>data<\/b>. The day concluded with an <\/span>informal networking session<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Second Day: creativity and innovation<\/b><\/h3>\n

Friday, <\/span>November 29<\/b>, was dedicated to the theme of <\/span>cyber-creativity and innovation<\/b>, explored in an engaging lecture by <\/span>Professor Giovanni Emanuele Corazza<\/b> from the University of Bologna. In the afternoon, another significant milestone: a visit to <\/span>Expert AI<\/b> in Modena, where participants explored how <\/span>artificial intelligence<\/b> is revolutionizing the corporate landscape. The day offered moments for <\/span>reflection<\/b> and <\/span>sharing<\/b> among participants, further emphasizing the value of <\/span>networking<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Closing: from theory to practice<\/b><\/h3>\n

The final day began with the <\/span>kick-off<\/b> of the project work, guided by <\/span>Riccardo Tesselli<\/b>, Data Engineer at <\/span>Infinitas Learning Technology<\/b>. Participants then took part in a <\/span>workshop on Python applied to business<\/b>, led by <\/span>Gabriele Tazzari<\/b> and <\/span>Francesco Puppini<\/b>, R&D Engineer at <\/span>Cube<\/b>. It was another opportunity to bridge <\/span>theory and practice<\/b>, working on <\/span>real cases<\/b> with <\/span>innovative tools<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

An experience of growth and connection<\/b><\/h3>\n

This first Residential was not only a moment of <\/span>learning<\/b> but also an opportunity to <\/span>build a community<\/b>. It exemplified Bologna Business School\u2019s <\/span>interdisciplinary approach<\/b>, where <\/span>academic education<\/b> meets the <\/span>corporate world<\/b> to create <\/span>value<\/b>.
