As part of the <\/span>International Week 2024<\/b><\/a>, participants in the <\/span>Executive MBA English Edition<\/b><\/a>, <\/span>the Global MBA Ferrari II, and the EMBA Ferrari IV,<\/span> spent a week in <\/span>Silicon Valley<\/b>, exploring the global innovation ecosystem. <\/span><\/p>\n

We interviewed <\/span>Panagiotis Stratis<\/b>, Platforming Specialist at Prismic, PhD, and Executive MBA English Edition Candidate at Bologna Business School, to learn how this experience enriched his vision of management and innovation.<\/span><\/p>\n

What was the most memorable aspect of International Week, and what stood out to you most during the company visits?<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

The most memorable aspect was experiencing firsthand the culture of <\/span>innovation<\/b> and the <\/span>forward-thinking<\/b> mindset that permeates <\/span>Silicon Valley<\/b>. During the company visits, what struck me most was the <\/span>integration of advanced technology with human-centered design principles<\/b>, especially evident at <\/span>IDEO<\/b>. Their approach, which draws inspiration from various sectors through analogous research, made me reflect on the importance of <\/span>interdisciplinary thinking<\/b> to drive <\/span>technological innovation<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

How do you think the international activities and collaborations from this week might influence your approach to leadership and business management?<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

This experience has profoundly impacted my approach to <\/span>leadership<\/b>. I have gained a new awareness of the importance of an <\/span>international perspective<\/b> and <\/span>diversity<\/b> within teams. The example of companies like <\/span>Zoox<\/b>, capable of maintaining <\/span>investor confidence<\/b> despite a lack of immediate revenue, has inspired me to think more <\/span>boldly<\/b> about long-term strategies. Additionally, I plan to adopt more <\/span>design thinking<\/b> principles, as demonstrated by IDEO, to drive <\/span>organizational change<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

How has your experience with San Jose State University enriched your perspective on global topics in management and innovation? Are there aspects you plan to bring into your daily work?<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

The lectures at <\/span>San Jose State University<\/b> expanded my understanding of <\/span>emerging technologies<\/b>, such as advancements in <\/span>quantum computing<\/b> and <\/span>AI infrastructure<\/b>. This advanced perspective encourages me to prioritize <\/span>investments in AI<\/b> and align <\/span>technological innovation<\/b> with market needs\u2014a principle I will carry forward in my leadership role.<\/span><\/p>\n

You had the chance to connect with international colleagues and professionals: what were the main sources of inspiration or new perspectives that emerged?<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Connecting with international colleagues and professionals was incredibly inspiring. I particularly appreciated discussions with individuals from diverse <\/span>sectors<\/b> and <\/span>cultures<\/b> (special mention to the <\/span>Ferrari<\/b> colleagues with whom I was lucky to share this experience!). Conversations about <\/span>Zoom’s strategy<\/b>, which combines <\/span>low-cost AI<\/b> with an <\/span>integration-first<\/b> approach, inspired me to foster a <\/span>collaborative leadership style<\/b> with a <\/span>global vision<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

An Experience Focused on the Future<\/b><\/h4>\n

The <\/span>International Week 2024<\/b> in <\/span>Silicon Valley<\/b> provided Panagiotis and his Executive MBA, <\/span>Global MBA Ferrari II, and the EMBA Ferrari IV<\/span> colleagues with a unique opportunity to explore the world of <\/span>innovation<\/b> from all angles.
