On <\/span>October 16, 2024<\/b>, <\/span>Bologna Business School<\/b> welcomed the students of the <\/span>Professional Masters<\/b><\/a> with the <\/span>Kick-off<\/b> event held in the <\/span>Aula Magna<\/b> of <\/span>Villa Guastavillani<\/b>. <\/span><\/p>\n

This event marked the official start of the academic journey for participants of the <\/span>English-taught Masters<\/b>. During the event, students had the opportunity to gain an overview of the courses, meet the <\/span>Directors<\/b> of their respective programs, and take part in <\/span>team-building activities<\/b>. These initiatives were designed to foster connections among participants from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, while also familiarizing them with the School\u2019s premises, including the <\/span>New Campus, located just opposite the Villa.<\/span><\/p>\n

A kick-off event to meet and collaborate<\/b><\/h3>\n

The <\/span>Kick-off<\/b> began at 2:30 p.m. with a welcome speech from <\/span>Paola Giuri<\/b>, <\/span>Associate Dean for Professional Masters<\/b>, who highlighted the importance of this initial phase as a moment of encounter and exchange between students and faculty. Following her introduction, the <\/span>directors<\/b> of the various programs presented their courses, outlining the skills that students will acquire during their journey. Among the speakers were <\/span>Emanuele Bajo<\/b> (Master in Finance and FinTech), <\/span>Ludovico Bullini Orlandi<\/b> and <\/span>Claudia Manca<\/b> (Master in Human Resources and Organization), <\/span>Maurizio Gabbrielli<\/b> (Master in Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Management), <\/span>Roberto Grandi<\/b> (Master in Digital Marketing and Communication), and <\/span>Claudio Sartori<\/b> (Master in Data Science and Business Analytics), who offered an in-depth overview of each program\u2019s content and objectives.<\/span><\/p>\n

The session also included <\/span>testimonies from former students<\/b>, who shared their professional experiences, demonstrating the impact that the <\/span>Master<\/b> had on their careers. The stories told by the <\/span>Alumni<\/b> highlighted how the academic paths they followed provided them with a competitive edge in tackling the challenges of the global job market.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meet & Greet with special guests<\/b><\/h3>\n

A significant part of the afternoon was the <\/span>Meet & Greet<\/b> with <\/span>special guests<\/b>, which allowed students to engage with prominent professionals from the business world. Among them were <\/span>Cristian Esposito<\/b> (People Analytics & Process at Bologna Airport), <\/span>Jacopo Torriglia<\/b> (Marketing Manager of Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna), and <\/span>Pierfrancesco Melucci<\/b> (PhD student in Artificial Intelligence at Sapienza University of Rome). These professionals shared their career experiences and offered valuable advice on how to build a successful career in their respective fields.<\/span><\/p>\n

Building your community: team-building activities<\/b><\/h3>\n

One of <\/span>Bologna Business School\u2019s<\/b> main objectives is to foster not only academic development but also the creation of lasting professional relationships among students. To this end, a significant portion of the <\/span>Kick-off<\/b> event was dedicated to an interactive <\/span>team-building activity<\/b> titled <\/span>“Building the Master Class Together.”<\/b> Divided into groups, students collaborated to define the <\/span>ideal characteristics<\/b> of their class, discussing how to create a <\/span>collaborative and stimulating environment<\/b>. The process involved several steps, starting with analyzing the current situation, identifying challenges, and proposing <\/span>concrete actions<\/b> to improve group cohesion.<\/span><\/p>\n

This activity helped students get to know each other better, establish a climate of trust, and set shared goals for their academic journey. The results of this teamwork were then presented in a plenary session, encouraging discussion and dialogue among participants, laying the foundation for a supportive network that will accompany them throughout the <\/span>Master\u2019s program<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
