Davide Mosezon has always had a strong passion for <\/span>technology<\/b> and <\/span>innovation<\/b>, but his desire for professional growth led him to seek a broader path, one that would transform him from a <\/span>technical expert<\/b> into a <\/span>leader<\/b> with a transversal and strategic vision. The rapid growth of his company, <\/span>Beontag<\/b>, highlighted the need for innovative solutions to optimize <\/span>production processes<\/b>, prompting him to enroll in the <\/span>Executive Master in Business Analytics and Data Science<\/b> <\/a>at <\/span>Bologna Business School<\/b>. In this interview, Davide explains how this journey equipped him not only with the <\/span>technical skills<\/b> needed to tackle business challenges but also with a valuable <\/span>network<\/b> and a broader perspective that helped shape his <\/span>professional future<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Can you tell us a bit about your professional background and what motivated you to choose the Executive Master in Business Analytics and Data Science at Bologna Business School?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

I began my technical career at the <\/span>University of Bologna<\/b>, where I studied <\/span>Computer Science<\/b> at the Faculty of Mathematics. Afterward, I joined the company where I currently work, <\/span>Beontag<\/b>, which focuses on the production of <\/span>RFID tags<\/b>. When I started, the company was a small SME with just over 20 employees, including production staff and office workers. Today, in <\/span>Bologna<\/b>, it has over 150 employees. The company\u2019s rapid growth raised challenges that couldn\u2019t simply be solved by hiring more staff or purchasing new machinery; instead, it required <\/span>streamlining production processes<\/b>. Working with a “blank slate” was exciting, but it could have easily led me in the wrong direction. <\/span>I knew I could introduce new technologies by studying specific online courses, but what I wanted for myself and the company was something more. I didn\u2019t just want to apply new technologies; I wanted to design the best possible solution while evolving my role from purely technical to a more <\/span>multidisciplinary<\/b> one. The program at <\/span>Bologna Business School<\/b> matched exactly what I was looking for.<\/span><\/p>\n

Which modules or courses did you find particularly relevant to your career? Is there a specific project or group work you completed during the master that you’d like to share?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The modules that interested me the most were <\/span>“Operations and Logistics”<\/b>, as it offered solutions to real problems I\u2019ve faced in my career, and <\/span>“Data Mining and Machine Learning”<\/b>, which allowed me to explore use cases of <\/span>complex technologies<\/b>, providing valuable insights for the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

How important was the network you built during the master? How have these connections helped you grow professionally in business analytics and data science?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

It was <\/span>fundamental<\/b>. One of the key added values of the course is the <\/span>diversity<\/b> of participants, who come from a wide range of professional backgrounds. Viewing a problem from different perspectives, each contributing their own know-how, made the master’s experience much more complete.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What advice would you give to those considering enrolling in the Executive Master in Business Analytics and Data Science? What are the three most important things to keep in mind for success in this program?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Choosing to undertake a master\u2019s program must be done with <\/span>awareness<\/b> and genuine <\/span>interest<\/b>. The time and financial commitment is significant, and balancing it with work can be challenging. You cannot complete the program without developing a <\/span>passion<\/b> for the topics covered. It\u2019s important to start applying what you learn in the master\u2019s to your work context right away. Listening to the lecturers is crucial, but don\u2019t underestimate the contribution of your classmates. The knowledge gained during the master\u2019s will likely put participants in an <\/span>advantageous<\/b> position, making them some of the most <\/span>data-savvy<\/b> people within their workplaces. If you have decision-making power, it will be easier to drive change; if not, it\u2019s essential to become an <\/span>evangelist<\/b> for transforming and evolving the company.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
