{"id":126772,"date":"2024-10-08T10:20:16","date_gmt":"2024-10-08T08:20:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bbs.unibo.it\/?p=126772"},"modified":"2024-10-29T09:34:13","modified_gmt":"2024-10-29T08:34:13","slug":"the-global-mba-students-experience-at-acetum-excellence-comes-to-life-in-the-world-of-balsamic-vinegar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bbs.unibo.it\/en\/the-global-mba-students-experience-at-acetum-excellence-comes-to-life-in-the-world-of-balsamic-vinegar\/","title":{"rendered":"The Experience of Global MBA Students at Acetum: A Journey into Excellence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The company visit of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbs.unibo.it\/en\/global-mba\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Global MBA <\/strong><\/a><strong>students at Bologna Business School<\/strong> to Acetum offered an in-depth overview of the Italian food and beverage industry.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The company, a leader in <strong>balsamic vinegar production<\/strong>, demonstrated the importance of <strong>Italian excellence<\/strong> and quality through the care and attention to detail in every phase of their production process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Noah Zacharie Carrenca<\/strong>, one of the participating students, found the production process related to <strong>DOP\/PDO<\/strong> and <strong>IGP<\/strong> certifications particularly interesting. \u201cThe scale of Acetum\u2019s production is impressive,\u201d Noah explained, \u201cbut the opportunity to get a closer look at the process behind DOP\/PDO certified products, directly from one of the largest European producers, was the most significant aspect.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The students had the opportunity to speak with members of Acetum\u2019s team. Carrenca had an in-depth conversation with Nicol\u00f2, Key Account Manager for North America, focusing on the company\u2019s approach to <strong>international markets<\/strong>. \u201cComing from a background in marketing and sales, I was interested in their strategy to educate international markets, especially the North American one, about the quality of their <strong>DOP\/PDO<\/strong> products,\u201d Noah commented.<\/p>\n<p>One aspect of Acetum\u2019s business model that surprised many students was the amount of product destined for <strong>white-labeling<\/strong>. \u201cIt was surprising to learn that a large portion of their production doesn\u2019t carry the Acetum name on the bottles they ship,\u201d Noah added.<\/p>\n<p>For the <strong>Global MBA<\/strong> students, company visits represent an opportunity to better understand business dynamics and apply the theory learned in class. \u201cCompany visits are an important part of our MBA education,\u201d Noah reflected. \u201c<strong>They give us the chance to ask questions and engage with professionals in industries and positions we aspire to work in<\/strong>. These experiences allow us to explore what makes a company successful and how we can apply what we learn to our future careers.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The company
