Can you briefly describe your professional journey and how you reached your current position?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

My journey has not been an easy or straightforward one. My academic background is in <\/span>linguistics<\/b> and <\/span>economics<\/b>, which set my foundation for critical thinking and communication. Combined with my interest in <\/span>business<\/b> and <\/span>psychology<\/b> and a fascination with <\/span>technology<\/b>‘s power to enhance human potential, it slowly but steadily navigated me through various positions at the intersection of business and technology. This path led me to <\/span>Retorio<\/b>, where my role involves leading a unit that intersects <\/span>Value Consulting<\/b> with <\/span>Business Intelligence<\/b>. It’s an exciting space where we help people and businesses leverage our technology for maximum impact.<\/span><\/p>\n

How would you define behavioral intelligence, and what role does it play in the field of artificial intelligence?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Behavioral intelligence<\/b> is the synthesis of <\/span>behavioral science<\/b> and <\/span>data analytics<\/b> to interpret and predict patterns in <\/span>human behavior<\/b>. It’s about understanding the ‘why’ behind actions and using that understanding to inform <\/span>AI algorithms<\/b>. In <\/span>AI<\/b>, behavioral intelligence is transformative; it enables machines to interact with humans in a more natural and personalized way. In the case of <\/span>Retorio<\/b>, it gives humans non-biased coaching advice in a safe space. It’s pivotal for creating user experiences that are not only intuitive but also respectful and ethically aware.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>AI field<\/b> is incredibly diverse, so the skill set is broad. <\/span>Technical skills<\/b> like programming basics, <\/span>data analysis<\/b>, and an understanding of <\/span>machine learning algorithms<\/b> are foundational. Equally important is <\/span>domain expertise<\/b> \u2013 knowing the business or industry you’re working to apply AI effectively.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, one should not overlook the importance of <\/span>soft skills<\/b>. <\/span>Critical thinking<\/b>, <\/span>problem-solving<\/b>, and the ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terms are crucial. <\/span>Emotional intelligence<\/b> and <\/span>ethical reasoning<\/b> are also key, as AI professionals must navigate the social implications of the technology they develop.<\/span><\/p>\n

What advice would you give to someone who is interested in pursuing a career in your field?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
