With a successful career and deep expertise in Technology &amp; Operations management within <\/span><b>biomedical industries<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Martinelli provides valuable insights on the future of the sector and the importance of <\/span><b>continuous learning<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Can you tell us a bit about your professional journey and how you came to teach at BBS?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I graduated many years ago in business administration from the <\/span><b>University of Bologna<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Four years ago, Professor <\/span><b>Angelo Manaresi <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">invited me to collaborate with BBS. For me, it was immediately a very stimulating adventure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In your opinion, what are the main strengths of the Life Science and Medtech program, and which modules or topics do you find particularly useful for students?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The strength of this program is <\/span><b>a beautiful mix between theoretical lessons and practical experiences.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This helps students live and delve into both sides of the same coin. In my opinion, the business cases are also up-to-date and very close to the new challenges present in today\u2019s working world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How do you see the evolution of the biomedical technology sector in the coming years, and what skills do you think will be essential for future professionals?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our sector is undergoing great evolution, driven by <\/span><b>technology<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the continuous <\/span><b>socio-economic changes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> imposed by new healthcare systems. Future skills will be a good mix of soft skills and high technology. Future job titles will be much more horizontal in companies compared to five years ago when the verticalization of skills was preferred.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A piece of advice for a young student dreaming of a career path similar to yours.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My advice is to continuously<\/span><b> invest in courses like this one<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. I myself, at 50, continue to study and keep myself updated.
