The On Campus Week for the <\/span>Executive Master<\/b> <\/a>and the <\/span>Professional Master<\/b> in <\/span>Sustainability Transition Management<\/b><\/a> at BBS concluded successfully.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, the event featured the participation of students from the Master in <\/span>Sustainability Leadership<\/b> at the <\/span>University of Galway – J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The week, which started on April 8th, offered a unique opportunity to explore the <\/span>challenges<\/b> of urban and agricultural sustainability. On April 8th and 9th, students engaged in various <\/span>educational<\/b> and practical activities, including visits to the BBS campus and the <\/span>Urban Innovation Lab<\/b>, and key locations relevant to the master’s themes. These included <\/span>Eta Beta<\/b>, a social cooperative experimenting with environmentally low-impact materials, <\/span>Salus Space<\/b>, a social inclusion project by the City of Bologna, and the <\/span>Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences<\/b> at the University of Bologna. Guided by Professors Orla Lenihan from the University of Galway and Matteo Mura from Bologna Business School, students experienced <\/span>hands-on and interactive learning<\/b>, rich with moments of discussion and networking opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n

The scheduled activities for the On Campus Week continued to enrich the experience in the following days after the departure of the students from Galway. On April 10th, participants had the opportunity to meet with directors and academic tutors during a welcome breakfast at Villa Guastavillani, followed by team-building activities and a visit to Hera’s waste transformation plant, deepening their understanding of the <\/span>energy transition<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The next day, the focus shifted to <\/span>industrial innovation<\/b> with a visit to <\/span>CAVIRO Extra<\/b>, followed by a tour at <\/span>WASP<\/b>, a leading company in 3D printing. These visits allowed students to explore practical applications of the concepts studied, always under the guidance of industry experts. The week concluded on April 12th with a visit to <\/span>Schneider Electric,<\/b> a leader in energy management and automation solutions, and to <\/span>Cartiera<\/b>, where participants could see firsthand how innovation and sustainability intersect in the industrial sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

This On Campus Week was not merely a series of company visits; it was an in-depth immersion into sustainability themes. It provided students from both Masters in Sustainability Transition Management at BBS with valuable lessons on how sustainability principles can be effectively applied in various professional and industrial contexts, focusing\u00a0on the energy sector and its future developments. With events like this, BBS reaffirms its commitment to equipping tomorrow’s leaders with concrete, interdisciplinary tools to make a difference in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
