The second Innovation Talk of the Spring Edition 2019 will host Patrizia Grieco<\/strong>, Chairman of ENEL. Shapers & Leaders: Companies in the era of energy transition<\/strong><\/span> is the title of the\u00a0speech during which she will discuss with the BBS Community the challenges posed by the energy transition towards a low-carbon dioxide economy. The event is organized in collaboration with Philip Morris Italia<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nSince 2014, Patrizia Grieco is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Enel<\/strong>, one of the leading global integrated operators in the electricity and gas sectors. Operating in 35 countries<\/strong> on 5 continents<\/strong>, ENEL produces and distributes energy over a network of approximately 2.2 million km<\/strong>, reaching almost 73 million end users worldwide<\/strong>. The work of the Group, made up of approximately 69,000 people<\/strong>, is based on the company’s core values such as responsibility<\/em>, innovation<\/em>, trust<\/em> and proactivity<\/em>.<\/p>\n

After graduating in Law at the University of Milan<\/strong>, she started her career in 1977 at Italtel<\/strong>, where in 1994 she became Chief of the Legal and General Affairs directorate. In 1999, she was appointed General Manager to re-organize and reposition the company, and in 2002 she became Chief Executive Officer.<\/p>\n

Subsequently, she held the positions of Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Informatica<\/strong>, Partner of Value Partners and Chief Executive Officer of the Group Value Team (today NTT Data). From 2008 to 2013, she was Chief Executive Officer of Olivetti<\/strong>, where she also held the role of Chairman from 2011. She has been a director of Fiat Industrial<\/strong> and CIR<\/strong> and she is currently on the boards of Anima Holding<\/strong>, Ferrari<\/strong> and Amplifon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Grieco is also a member of the steering committee of Assonime<\/strong> and of the board of directors of Bocconi University<\/strong>. Patrizia Grieco was appointed Chairman of the<\/strong> Italian Corporate Governance Committee<\/strong> in 2017. The purpose of the Committee is the promotion of good corporate governance practices of Italian listed companies.<\/p>\n
