{"id":98923,"date":"2023-02-13T12:11:22","date_gmt":"2023-02-13T11:11:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bbs.unibo.it\/?post_type=event&#038;p=98923"},"modified":"2024-05-03T17:08:01","modified_gmt":"2024-05-03T15:08:01","slug":"bbs-leadership-lecture-elisabetta-belloni","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.bbs.unibo.it\/en\/event\/bbs-leadership-lecture-elisabetta-belloni\/","title":{"rendered":"BBS Leadership Lecture | Elisabetta Belloni"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"83:203;a\"><strong>On Friday<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>February 17th<\/strong>, at\u00a0<strong>6 p.m.<\/strong>, the<strong>\u00a0BBS Leadership Lecture\u00a0<\/strong>&#8220;<strong>National Interest and Economic Intelligence<\/strong>&#8221; with Elisabetta Belloni, General Director | Department of Security Information, <span class=\"ui-provider vm b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z ab ac ae af ag ah ai aj ak\" dir=\"ltr\">will be held at <strong>Villa Guastavillani<\/strong>.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"83:203;a\">Graduated in Political Science from LUISS University in Rome, served at\u00a0<strong>Farnesina<\/strong>\u00a0in the General Directorate of Political Affairs since 1985, then in 1986 worked at\u00a0<strong>UNIDO<\/strong>\u00a0in Vienna.<\/p>\n<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"83:203;a\">From 1989 to 1992, she was again at the\u00a0<strong>Directorate for Political Affairs<\/strong>, followed the work of the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe (CSCE), was Deputy Head of the CSBM (Confidence and Security Building Measures) Delegation in Vienna, and later a member of the Italian delegation to the Helsinki conference on the follow-up to the CSCE.<\/p>\n<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"83:203;a\">From 1993 to 1996, she was\u00a0<strong>First Secretary<\/strong>\u00a0in Vienna at the Diplomatic Representation to International Organizations, then, until 1999, served at the Italian Embassy in Bratislava.<\/p>\n<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"83:203;a\">She returned to Rome in 1999 and worked in the Russia Office of the Political Affairs Directorate. In 2000 she was head of the Secretariat at the Directorate for European Countries; in 2001-2002, she was Head of the Office for Central and Eastern European Countries.<\/p>\n<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"83:203;a\">From 2002 to 2004, she is Head of the Secretariat of the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs. In 2004 she was appointed Head of the Crisis Unit of the Farnesina.<\/p>\n<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"83:203;a\">From 2008 to 2012, she is\u00a0<strong>General\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Director\u00a0<\/strong><strong>for Development Cooperation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"83:203;a\">From 2013 to 2015, she assumed the duties of\u00a0<strong>General\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Director<\/strong><strong>\u00a0for Resources and Innovation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"83:203;a\">Promoted Ranking Ambassador in 2014; in 2015, she assumed the position of\u00a0<strong>Chief of Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"83:203;a\">From 2016 to 2021, she serves as\u00a0<strong>Secretary General of the Farnesina<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"83:203;a\">On May 12, 2021, the Prime Minister appointed Ambassador Elisabetta Belloni as General Director of the\u00a0<strong>DIS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"83:203;a\"><strong>Intelligence management<\/strong>\u00a0and coordination of\u00a0<strong>information for national security<\/strong>\u00a0are core activities for institutional administration. Contemporary implications in the field of\u00a0<strong>cybersecurity<\/strong>\u00a0highlight the direct relationship between the choices made in this area and the direction aimed at innovation in the corporate environment.
