On Wednesday<\/strong>,\u00a0June 12th<\/strong>, at\u00a06 p.m.<\/strong>,\u00a0Villa Guastavillani<\/strong>\u00a0will host the event\u00a0Digital Sovereignty: what future for Europe?<\/strong>, with Roberto Baldoni, Former Director General | National Cybersecurity Agency of Italy.<\/p>\n

The book\u00a0Charting Digital Sovereignty: a survival Playbook<\/strong>, which Roberto Baldoni authored, will be presented during the event. A study to thoroughly analyze those global transformations unfolding at the intersection of geopolitics, national security, and digital technology. The book, conceived as a digital survival playbook for government organizations and public decision-makers, represents a significant innovation in the growing context of digital sovereignty studies.<\/p>\n

Roberto Baldoni was the first Director General of the National Cybersecurity Agency (2021-2023), appointed by Prime Minister Mario Draghi. Previously, he served four years as Deputy Director General of the Italian Secret Service, responsible for building a National Cybersecurity Architecture appointed by Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni.<\/p>\n

In these two roles, among the most relevant, he conceived and led the working group that drafted the National Cyber Security Perimeter Law (DL105\/2019) and followed its development until March 2023. He directed the activities that led to the National Cybersecurity Strategy (aligned with the Next Generation EU program) signed by the Prime Minister in May 2022 and those that led to the new National Cybersecurity Architecture and the creation of the ACN (DL82\/2021).<\/p>\n

Until 2017, Roberto Baldoni was a full professor of computer science at Sapienza University of Rome and has also been an active voice in the governance and geopolitics of technology for years, contributing editorials and articles in major Italian and foreign journals and holding the position of Chair of the cybersecurity governance section for the IEEE Security & Privacy Journal.<\/p>\n
