{"id":100861,"date":"2023-03-21T11:17:06","date_gmt":"2023-03-21T10:17:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bbs.unibo.it\/?post_type=event&#038;p=100861"},"modified":"2024-05-03T17:05:26","modified_gmt":"2024-05-03T15:05:26","slug":"bbs-leadership-lecture-benedetto-vigna","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.bbs.unibo.it\/en\/event\/bbs-leadership-lecture-benedetto-vigna\/","title":{"rendered":"BBS Leadership Lecture | Benedetto Vigna"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"83:173;a\"><strong>On Wednesday<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>March 29th<\/strong>, at\u00a0<strong>6 p.m.<\/strong>, the\u00a0<strong>BBS Leadership Lecture<\/strong> \u201c<strong>Leading Through Innovation<\/strong>\u201d with<strong>\u00a0Benedetto Vigna<\/strong>,<strong>\u00a0CEO | Ferrari<\/strong>, will be held at\u00a0<strong>Villa<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Guastavillani<\/strong>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"83:173;a\">Benedetto Vigna is Chief Executive Officer at Ferrari since September 2021.<\/p>\n<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"83:173;a\">Before joining Ferrari, he was President of\u00a0<strong>STMicroelectronics<\/strong>\u2019,\u00a0<strong>Analog<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>MEMS<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>and<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Sensors Group<\/strong>, since January 2016 and also a member of ST\u2019s Executive Committee from May 31, 2018.<\/p>\n<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"83:173;a\">Vigna joined ST in 1995 and founded the Company\u2019s MEMS activities (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems). Under his guidance, ST\u2019s MEMS sensors established the Company\u2019s leadership with large OEMs in motion-activated user interfaces. His responsibilities were expanded to include\u00a0<strong>connectivity<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>imaging<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>power solutions<\/strong>\u00a0and he piloted a series of successful moves into new business areas, with a particular focus on the industrial and automotive market segments.<\/p>\n<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"83:173;a\">During his career Vigna has filed more than\u00a0<strong>200 patents on micromachining<\/strong>, authored numerous publications and has sat on the Boards of several EU-funded programs including start ups as well as worldwide recognized Boards of Asian and American research centers.<\/p>\n<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"83:173;a\">Benedetto Vigna graduated in Subnuclear Physics from the University of Pisa.<\/p>\n<p
